Shipping, Freight Delivery & Package Claims Policy

Last updated: August 10, 2026

Build Bargain ships automotive parts throughout the United States and to select international destinations. Depending on the product, destination, size, and availability, orders may be shipped by standard parcel carrier, freight carrier, directly from a fulfillment location, or in multiple separate shipments.

Please review this policy before placing an order.

By purchasing from Build Bargain, you acknowledge and agree to the terms below.

1. Processing and Lead Times

The processing or lead time shown for a product refers to approximately how long Build Bargain expects to take to prepare the product for shipment. It does not refer to the amount of time the shipping carrier will take to deliver the package.

For example, if a product states “Ships Next-Day,” this means that the product is generally expected to be prepared and sent out within approximately 1 business day.

Business days do not include Saturdays, Sundays, or applicable holidays.

Processing times vary depending on the product. The applicable processing or lead time will normally be stated in the product description or elsewhere on the applicable product page.

If a processing time is not listed for a product, customers may contact support@buildbargain.com before ordering for the current estimated processing time.

Processing may include:

  • Preparing the product for shipment
  • Order verification
  • Inspection/quality-checks
  • Packaging
  • Preparing shipping documentation
  • Customization when applicable
  • Other preparation necessary before the product can be transferred to the shipping carrier Processing and lead times are estimates and may occasionally change because of inventory

availability, order volume, manufacturing delays, customization, or other unforeseen circumstances.

If a listed processing estimate is no longer accurate, a product unexpectedly becomes unavailable or out of stock, or another issue affects the expected processing time, Build Bargain will contact the customer and provide an update.

Custom, made-to-order, special-order, preorder, and backorder products may have longer processing times and remain subject to the applicable terms in our Returns, Exchanges, Cancellations & Custom Orders Policy.

2. Processing Time vs. Delivery Time

Processing time and delivery time are separate.

Processing time is the period before the package is transferred to the shipping carrier.

Delivery or transit time begins once the shipping carrier receives the package and begins transporting it to the delivery destination.

For example, a product marked “Ships Next-Day” does not mean that the customer will receive the product the next day. It means the product is generally expected to be prepared and sent out within approximately 1 business day.

Once the shipping carrier receives the shipment, the delivery timeframe depends on factors including:

  • Delivery state or destination
  • Distance from the shipment origin
  • Shipping service selected
  • Carrier network
  • Package size and weight
  • Weather
  • Holidays
  • Carrier delays
  • Other transportation conditions

Because delivery times vary by destination, customers in different states may receive their orders on different dates even when the orders are shipped on the same day.

Any delivery estimate provided by Build Bargain or the shipping carrier is an estimate unless a specific guaranteed service has been expressly confirmed.

3. Tracking Information

Tracking information is generally available within approximately 1–3 days after the order has been sent out.

The timing of the first tracking update may vary depending on the shipping carrier and shipping method.

A package may already be in transit even if:

  • Tracking has not yet been provided
  • The tracking number has not yet updated
  • The carrier has not yet recorded its first tracking scan
  • Tracking temporarily shows limited movement

Carrier tracking systems do not always update in real time.

A temporary delay in tracking information does not necessarily mean that the package has not been shipped or that the shipment is lost.

If tracking has not become available, appears delayed, or has not updated as expected, customers may contact:

support@buildbargain.com

Build Bargain will review the shipment and provide a more specific delivery or tracking update when additional information is available. In certain circumstances, Build Bargain may also contact the shipping carrier directly to request a more accurate status update or estimated delivery timeline.

Customers are responsible for monitoring the tracking information provided for their order and making reasonable arrangements to receive the shipment.

4. Estimated Delivery Dates

Delivery estimates begin after the applicable processing period and after the shipment has been received by the shipping carrier.

Any estimated delivery date provided by Build Bargain or a shipping carrier is an estimate and is not guaranteed unless Build Bargain expressly confirms a guaranteed delivery service.

Carrier delays may occasionally occur after a shipment has already left Build Bargain’s possession.

If a shipment experiences an unexpected carrier delay, Build Bargain will assist the customer with obtaining available tracking information and a more specific delivery update when possible.

A carrier delay or temporary lack of tracking updates does not automatically mean that a shipment is lost.

5. Multiple and Split Shipments

Orders containing multiple products may be shipped separately.

Products from the same order may:

  • Ship on different dates
  • Arrive in separate packages
  • Be assigned different tracking numbers
  • Be shipped using different carriers
  • Arrive at different times

Receiving only part of an order does not mean the remaining products are missing.

Customers should review all tracking numbers associated with their order before submitting a missing-item claim.

Build Bargain will provide additional tracking information when available.

6. Shipping Addresses

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address before placing an order.

This includes:

  • Full recipient name
  • Street address
  • Apartment, suite, or unit number when applicable
  • City
  • State or province
  • Postal or ZIP code
  • Country
  • Accurate phone number when required for delivery

Build Bargain is not responsible for delays, additional fees, or failed deliveries caused by incorrect or incomplete shipping information provided by the customer.

If an address correction is needed, contact Build Bargain as soon as possible.

Build Bargain will make reasonable efforts to update an address before shipment but cannot guarantee that an address can be changed after an order enters fulfillment or has been transferred to the carrier.

Once a shipment has left our control, address changes or rerouting requests may be subject to carrier approval.

Any address-correction, rerouting, redelivery, storage, or additional shipping charges resulting from incorrect information provided by the customer may be charged to the customer.

7. Standard Package Delivery

Customers should inspect all packages as soon as reasonably possible after delivery.

Before opening a package that appears damaged, customers should photograph:

  • The shipping box or packaging
  • Any visible exterior damage
  • The shipping label and tracking number
  • Any crushed, punctured, torn, wet, opened, or otherwise damaged areas

After opening the package, customers should inspect the product and all included components before installation.

Do not install, modify, paint, wrap, coat, wire, code, program, drill, trim, discard, or permanently mount a product if shipping damage, missing components, or an incorrect item is discovered.

Contact Build Bargain first for instructions.

8. Damaged Packages or Products

Products that arrive damaged must be reported to Build Bargain within 3 calendar days of confirmed delivery.

Contact:

support@buildbargain.com

Please include:

  • Full name
  • Order number
  • Tracking number
  • Description of the damage
  • Photos of the complete product
  • Close-up photos of the damage
  • Photos of the outside of the shipping package
  • Photos showing how the product was packaged inside
  • A clear photo of the shipping label
  • Photos of any damaged packaging or protective materials
  • Video of the issue Customers must retain the damaged product, shipping box, packaging materials, labels, hardware,

and all contents until Build Bargain confirms that they may be discarded.

Do not repair, modify, install, discard, or return a damaged product without instructions from Build Bargain.

Failure to preserve the product or packaging may prevent Build Bargain or the carrier from properly investigating the claim.

Build Bargain may request additional photographs, videos, documentation, or an inspection before approving a claim.

9. Missing Items or Components

If an order arrives with a product, component, or accessory missing, contact Build Bargain within 3 calendar days of confirmed delivery.

Please provide:

  • Order number
  • Description of what is missing
  • Photos of everything received
  • Photos of the shipping box
  • Photos of the internal packaging
  • Photo of the shipping label

Build Bargain may review:

  • Package weight
  • Fulfillment records
  • Shipping records
  • Warehouse records
  • Product packaging
  • Customer-provided photographs
  • Carrier information

before determining the appropriate resolution.

Do not discard the original packaging until the claim has been resolved.

10. Incorrect Products

If Build Bargain sends a product that is different from what was ordered, contact us within 3 calendar days of confirmed delivery and do not install or modify the product.

Please provide:

  • Order number
  • Photos of the product received
  • Photos of any product labels or part numbers
  • Photos of the packaging
  • Vehicle information when relevant

Once Build Bargain verifies that the incorrect product was sent, we will provide instructions for resolving the issue.

Verified Build Bargain shipping errors are not subject to the standard 10% restocking fee.

11. Package Claim Investigation and Resolution

Submitting a claim does not automatically guarantee a refund or replacement.

Build Bargain must first review and verify the claim.

Depending on the circumstances, Build Bargain may:

  • Request additional photos or videos
  • Request packaging measurements
  • Request a carrier inspection
  • Open a claim with the shipping carrier
  • Request that the product be returned
  • Provide replacement components
  • Repair or arrange repair of the product when appropriate
  • Replace the product
  • Provide another appropriate resolution
  • Issue a partial or full refund when appropriate

The appropriate resolution will depend on the nature of the issue, product condition, available evidence, carrier investigation, and product availability.

Customers must provide Build Bargain and the shipping carrier a reasonable opportunity to investigate and resolve a shipping claim before disposing of, modifying, repairing, or replacing the affected product.

If a replacement is approved, Build Bargain may require the damaged or incorrect product to be returned before or after the replacement is shipped.

12. Lost Packages

A shipment may be considered potentially lost when tracking shows that it has not been delivered and there has been an unusual lack of carrier movement or the carrier confirms that the shipment cannot be located.

A delayed shipment is not automatically considered lost.

If tracking stops updating for an unusual period, contact:

support@buildbargain.com

Build Bargain may contact the carrier, open a trace or investigation, and request additional information before determining whether the shipment is lost.

Customers must allow the carrier a reasonable opportunity to complete its investigation.

If a shipment is confirmed lost, Build Bargain will determine the appropriate resolution based on the circumstances of the shipment and any applicable package protection or carrier coverage.

13. Packages Marked Delivered but Not Received

If tracking shows that a package was delivered but the customer cannot locate it, the customer should contact Build Bargain as soon as possible.

Before submitting a claim, customers should:

  • Check all entrances and delivery areas
  • Check with household members
  • Check with neighbors when appropriate
  • Check with a building manager, front desk, mailroom, or security desk when applicable
  • Review any available delivery photograph
  • Contact the carrier when requested by Build Bargain

Build Bargain may request delivery confirmation, GPS information, carrier documentation, photographs, or other available evidence.

A carrier delivery scan alone will not prevent Build Bargain from reviewing a properly reported claim, but a refund or replacement is not automatically guaranteed solely because a customer reports that a package cannot be located after confirmed delivery.

Build Bargain may require completion of a carrier investigation before determining the appropriate resolution.

14. Stolen Packages

Build Bargain is not responsible for theft that occurs after a package has been correctly delivered to the address provided by the customer unless the shipment is eligible for coverage through an applicable package-protection program or another responsibility applies.

Customers are responsible for providing a secure delivery location.

For high-value shipments, Build Bargain may require:

  • Signature confirmation
  • Adult signature
  • Freight appointment
  • Delivery verification
  • Additional identity or address verification

Customers should not authorize a carrier to leave a signature-required shipment unattended unless they are willing to accept the additional risk associated with doing so.

15. Package Protection

Some Build Bargain orders may include or offer optional package protection.

When package protection applies, eligible claims for loss, theft, or shipping damage will be reviewed according to the protection terms presented with the order.

Package protection does not automatically cover:

  • Incorrect shipping information provided by the customer
  • Delivery refusal
  • Customer-requested rerouting
  • Products damaged after successful delivery
  • Installation damage
  • Product defects unrelated to transportation
  • Fraudulent or misleading claims
  • Duplicate claims or duplicate compensation

Customers must still comply with all documentation, reporting, and claim requirements contained in this policy.

Package protection is separate from product warranty coverage.

16. Freight and Oversized Shipments

Large products may be shipped by freight rather than a standard parcel carrier.

Freight products may include items such as:

  • Hoods
  • Large body panels
  • Oversized aero components
  • Large exhaust systems
  • Palletized products
  • Other oversized or unusually heavy items Freight shipments may require a delivery appointment.

Customers are responsible for providing a working phone number and responding to the freight carrier when scheduling delivery.

Failure to schedule or accept freight delivery may result in storage, redelivery, return-freight, or other carrier charges.

These additional charges may be the customer’s responsibility when they result from the customer’s failure to arrange or accept delivery.

17. Freight Delivery Inspection

Freight shipments must be carefully inspected at the time of delivery.

Before signing the delivery receipt or bill of lading, the customer should inspect:

  • The pallet
  • Exterior packaging
  • Protective wrapping
  • Boxes
  • Visible portions of the product

Look for:

  • Crushed packaging
  • Tears
  • Punctures
  • Broken pallet sections
  • Bent packaging
  • Open packaging
  • Missing straps
  • Water damage
  • Visible product damage
  • Signs that the shipment may have been mishandled

Take clear photographs of the shipment before removing it from the pallet or discarding any packaging.

If visible damage is present, the customer must clearly note the damage on the delivery receipt or bill of lading before signing.

Do not sign a freight delivery receipt stating that the shipment was received in good condition when visible damage is present.

Writing only “subject to inspection” does not replace documenting specific visible damage.

If possible, take a photograph of the delivery receipt showing the damage notation before the carrier leaves.

18. Concealed Freight Damage

Some freight damage may not be visible until the packaging is removed.

Any concealed freight damage must be reported to Build Bargain within 3 calendar days of delivery.

Customers must retain:

  • The complete product
  • Pallet
  • Shipping carton
  • Protective wrapping
  • Foam
  • Straps
  • Labels
  • Freight paperwork
  • All other packaging materials

Photographs should show both the damage and the way the product was packaged.

Do not install, repair, modify, paint, wrap, coat, or discard a freight-damaged product until Build Bargain provides instructions.

19. Refused Freight or Package Deliveries

Customers should contact Build Bargain before refusing a shipment whenever reasonably possible.

Refusing a shipment does not automatically cancel the order or guarantee a full refund.

If a shipment is refused because of severe visible transportation damage, photograph the shipment and document the reason for refusal with the carrier.

If a shipment is refused for reasons unrelated to verified shipping damage or a Build Bargain error, the terms of the Returns, Exchanges, Cancellations & Custom Orders Policy will apply.

Customer-caused refusal or failed delivery may result in:

  • Original shipping charges
  • Return-shipping charges
  • Freight charges
  • Storage charges
  • Redelivery charges
  • Address-correction fees
  • Restocking fees when applicable

Custom, made-to-order, special-order, and final-sale products remain subject to their applicable final-sale terms.

20. Delivery Appointments, Storage and Redelivery Fees

Some freight and oversized shipments require the customer to schedule a delivery appointment.

Customers are responsible for:

  • Responding to carrier calls, texts, or emails
  • Scheduling delivery within the carrier’s available timeframe
  • Being available during the confirmed delivery appointment
  • Providing reasonable access for delivery

If the carrier charges additional fees because the customer:

  • Misses a scheduled delivery
  • Fails to respond to scheduling attempts
  • Requests repeated redelivery
  • Provides an incorrect address
  • Leaves the shipment unclaimed
  • Requests additional services after shipment

those charges may be billed to the customer or deducted from an otherwise approved refund when applicable.

21. Signature-Required Shipments

Build Bargain may require a signature for certain orders based on:

  • Order value
  • Product type
  • Shipping destination
  • Fraud-prevention review
  • Carrier requirements
  • Previous delivery issues

The customer is responsible for making reasonable arrangements to receive a signature-required shipment.

If a customer directly authorizes the carrier to release a package without obtaining the required signature, the customer accepts the additional risk associated with that release.

22. International Shipping

International orders may be subject to:

  • Import taxes
  • VAT or similar taxes
  • Customs duties
  • Brokerage charges
  • Customs processing fees
  • Local delivery charges
  • Other government or carrier fees

Whether these charges are included depends on the shipping method and terms shown for the particular order.

All international orders are shipped DDP (Delivered Duty Paid). Build Bargain or its shipping arrangement will cover the applicable import duties and taxes included within the DDP shipment terms, so customers are not expected to pay additional duties or import taxes upon delivery.

International customs processing may still affect estimated delivery times. Customers are responsible for providing accurate information and any documentation reasonably required for customs clearance.

23. International Delivery Refusal

International orders are shipped DDP (Delivered Duty Paid), meaning applicable import duties and taxes covered under the shipment’s DDP terms are handled through Build Bargain or its shipping arrangement.

If an international shipment is refused, rejected, abandoned, or returned due to circumstances outside of Build Bargain’s control, including the recipient’s failure to provide required customs information, respond to the carrier or customs authority, accept delivery, or provide accurate shipping information, the order does not automatically qualify for a full refund.

If the shipment is returned to Build Bargain, any applicable costs incurred as a result of the return may be deducted from an otherwise approved refund, including:

  • Original international shipping costs
  • Return international shipping costs
  • Additional carrier or handling charges
  • Customs-related charges resulting from the return
  • Storage or return-processing charges
  • Restocking fees, when applicable

Custom, made-to-order, special-order, and final-sale products remain subject to their applicable final-sale terms and may not be eligible for cancellation, return, or refund.

24. Carrier Delays and Events Outside Our Control

Once a shipment is in transit, unexpected events may affect delivery.

These may include:

  • Weather
  • Natural disasters
  • Road closures
  • Carrier network disruptions
  • Mechanical issues
  • Customs delays (international)
  • Port congestion (international)
  • Labor disruptions
  • Holiday volume
  • Transportation interruptions

Build Bargain will assist customers in obtaining available shipment updates and working with the carrier when appropriate.

An unexpected carrier delay does not automatically mean the shipment is lost or damaged.

25. Customer Cooperation With Claims

Customers requesting assistance with a shipping claim must reasonably cooperate with Build Bargain and the applicable carrier.

This may include:

  • Providing photographs or videos
  • Retaining packaging
  • Providing requested documentation
  • Completing carrier forms
  • Making the package available for inspection
  • Responding to reasonable questions
  • Returning a damaged or incorrect product when required

A claim may be delayed or denied when required evidence cannot be obtained because the customer discarded, destroyed, altered, repaired, installed, or otherwise made the product or packaging unavailable before the investigation was completed.

26. Fraudulent or Duplicate Shipping Claims

Customers may not knowingly submit false, misleading, altered, or duplicate information in connection with a shipping claim.

Customers may not knowingly obtain compensation from Build Bargain, a carrier, a payment provider, package protection, insurance, or another party more than once for the same loss.

Any duplicate compensation is subject to the Duplicate Refunds and Compensation section of the Returns, Exchanges, Cancellations & Custom Orders Policy.

27. Contact Information
