Limited Warranty, Fitment & Installation Policy
Last updated: August 10, 2026
Build Bargain stands behind the products we sell and will work directly with customers to address verified product defects, fitment issues, and warranty-covered concerns.
Because Build Bargain sells vehicle-specific aftermarket automotive products, proper vehicle identification, inspection, installation, troubleshooting, and documentation are important when determining whether an issue is related to the product itself, vehicle compatibility, installation, modification, or another cause.
Please review this policy before purchasing or installing any product.
By purchasing from Build Bargain, you acknowledge and agree to the terms below.
1. One-Year Limited Warranty
Build Bargain lighting and exhaust products include a 1-year limited warranty beginning on the date of confirmed delivery.
This includes applicable Build Bargain:
- Headlights
- Taillights
- Daytime running light products
- Lighting components
- Exhaust systems
- Midpipes
- Downpipes
- Exhaust components
Unless otherwise expressly stated in writing, the 1-year limited warranty described in this policy applies specifically to Build Bargain lighting and exhaust products.
If another product includes separate warranty coverage, the applicable warranty terms will be stated on the product page, order, invoice, or other written communication from Build Bargain.
2. What the Limited Warranty Covers
The Build Bargain Limited Warranty covers verified defects in materials or workmanship that arise during normal and intended use within the applicable 1-year warranty period.
Depending on the product and issue, covered problems may include:
- Verified manufacturing defects
- Premature failure of a covered component
- Electrical or electronic failure attributable to the product itself
- Structural failure attributable to a manufacturing defect
- Failure of an included component necessary for the intended function of the product
- Other issues determined by Build Bargain to be our responsibility
Warranty coverage applies to the product or component determined to be experiencing the covered issue.
An issue with one component does not automatically require replacement of the entire product.
3. Starting a Warranty Claim
Customers experiencing an issue with a warranty-covered product must contact:
support@buildbargain.com
The email must include:
- The customer’s order number
- A brief description of the issue
- As many clear photographs as reasonably possible showing the issue in full
- As many clear videos as reasonably possible showing and demonstrating the issue in full
The goal is to provide Build Bargain with enough information to clearly see and understand what the customer is experiencing.
Photos and videos should show the complete product as well as the specific area, component, function, sound, warning, fitment concern, or other problem being reported.
When applicable, customers should also provide photographs or videos showing:
- How the product is installed
- Wiring and electrical connections
- Connectors
- Modules
- Mounting points
- Vehicle-side components
- Error messages
- Warning lights
- Diagnostic codes
- Any other information that helps demonstrate the issue
Providing complete information at the beginning of a claim helps Build Bargain identify the problem and determine the proper solution as quickly as possible.
4. Direct Customer Support and Troubleshooting
After the warranty request is received, a Build Bargain customer support agent will work directly with the customer to understand what is happening.
Our support agent may:
- Ask questions about the issue
- Request additional photographs or videos
- Ask when and how the issue began
- Ask about installation
- Ask about vehicle modifications
- Request wiring or connection photographs
- Request diagnostic information or error codes
- Provide troubleshooting instructions
- Ask the customer or installer to perform reasonable tests or checks
- Provide instructions for correcting the issue
- Determine whether a particular component needs replacement
- Request any other information reasonably necessary to understand and solve the problem
The purpose of this process is to identify the actual cause of the problem so the correct solution can be provided.
Customers are required to reasonably cooperate with Build Bargain during this process.
A warranty claim is not automatically approved simply because an issue is reported. Build Bargain must first have a reasonable opportunity to understand, troubleshoot, and verify the issue.
5. Warranty Solutions and Replacement Parts
Once Build Bargain has enough information to understand the problem, our customer support agent will provide instructions regarding the appropriate solution.
Depending on the issue, the solution may include:
- Troubleshooting instructions
- Installation or adjustment instructions
- Wiring or connection corrections
- Coding or programming assistance when applicable
- Replacement hardware
- A replacement component
- A replacement module
- A replacement electronic component
- Repair of the affected product or component
- Replacement of the affected product when necessary
- Another appropriate solution based on the specific issue
If Build Bargain determines that the issue was caused by a covered defect, an incorrect or defective component supplied by us, or another issue that is Build Bargain’s responsibility, the applicable replacement part or component will be provided at Build Bargain’s expense.
When Build Bargain is responsible for the covered issue, the customer will not be charged for the approved replacement part or component.
Build Bargain may also cover the shipping required to provide an approved warranty replacement when the issue is determined to be our responsibility.
Replacement of the entire product is not required when replacing an individual component reasonably resolves the verified issue.
For example, if a headlight issue is caused by a replaceable module, driver, controller, wiring component, or other individual part, Build Bargain may provide that specific replacement component rather than replacing the complete headlight assembly.
6. Troubleshooting Before Replacement
Some product issues can result from causes other than a defect in the complete product.
These may include:
- Installation
- Wiring
- Electrical connections
- Coding
- Programming
- Vehicle configuration
- Factory vehicle components
- Aftermarket modifications
- Previous work done to the vehicle
- Individual replaceable components
- Incorrect settings
- Loose connections
- Damaged connections
- Other vehicle-side conditions For this reason, customers must provide Build Bargain a reasonable opportunity to diagnose and
troubleshoot the issue before a warranty replacement is approved.
Do not discard, replace, permanently modify, disassemble, destroy, or independently repair the affected product or component while Build Bargain is actively investigating the claim unless Build Bargain provides instructions to do so.
If requested information or reasonable troubleshooting is not provided, Build Bargain may be unable to determine the cause of the issue or approve warranty coverage.
7. Returning a Product for Warranty Inspection
In some circumstances, photographs, videos, and remote troubleshooting may not be enough to determine the cause of an issue.
Build Bargain may require the affected product or component to be returned for inspection.
If a return is required, Build Bargain will provide instructions.
Do not send a warranty product back without authorization.
Depending on the circumstances, Build Bargain may:
- Provide a prepaid return shipping label
- Arrange another approved return method
- Request that the customer bring the product to the Build Bargain warehouse
- Request that a particular component rather than the complete product be returned
The return procedure will depend on the product and issue.
Products returned for inspection must be packaged carefully to prevent additional damage.
8. Warranty Exclusions
The Build Bargain Limited Warranty does not cover damage or failure caused by:
- Improper installation
- Incorrect installation
- Installation on an incompatible vehicle
- Installation contrary to applicable instructions
- Improper wiring
- Incorrect electrical connections
- Incorrect coding or programming
- Modification that causes the issue
- Cutting, drilling, trimming, grinding, or alteration that causes the issue
- Painting, wrapping, coating, or refinishing that causes the issue
- Accident or collision damage
- Impact damage
- Road debris
- Abuse or misuse
- Neglect
- Improper maintenance
- Improper storage
- Water damage caused by improper installation
- Electrical damage caused by vehicle wiring or another component
- Voltage irregularities
- Incorrect power sources
- Fire
- Theft
- Vandalism
- Environmental or external damage
- Normal wear and tear
- Cosmetic deterioration resulting from ordinary use
- Damage caused by another aftermarket or factory component
- Damage occurring after the product has been materially altered from its supplied condition
The fact that a product was professionally installed does not automatically establish that a product failure is a manufacturing defect.
Likewise, installation by the customer or an independent third-party installer does not by itself automatically eliminate warranty coverage.
Build Bargain may deny coverage when the available evidence reasonably shows that the claimed damage or failure was caused by an excluded condition rather than an issue covered by the warranty.
9. Professional Installation
Professional installation is strongly recommended for Build Bargain products unless the applicable product is specifically designed for straightforward customer installation.
Automotive aftermarket products may require:
- Specialized tools
- Vehicle disassembly
- Mechanical experience
- Electrical work
- Wiring
- Coding or programming
- Calibration
- Adjustment
- Drilling or trimming
- Alignment
- Fabrication
- Bodywork experience
- Experience with the exact car
- Experience with the exact or similar part
- Other specialized automotive and installation knowledge
Customers are responsible for selecting an installer capable of properly installing the purchased product.
Build Bargain is not responsible for damage caused by improper workmanship, negligence, incorrect installation, incorrect modification, or failure to follow applicable installation procedures.
Questions about installation should be directed to Build Bargain before permanent installation or modification whenever possible.
10. Inspection and Dry Fit Before Installation
Customers and installers are responsible for inspecting products before installation.
Before permanent installation, verify:
- Product condition
- Correct product received
- Vehicle application
- Apparent fitment
- Mounting locations
- Included components
- Finish
- Visible defects
- Shipping damage
Body panels, aerodynamic components, carbon-fiber products, trim pieces, and other fitment-sensitive products should be carefully dry-fitted before:
- Drilling
- Cutting
- Trimming
- Sanding
- Gluing
- Applying adhesive or tape
- Painting
- Wrapping
- Applying PPF
- Applying ceramic coating
- Permanently mounting
- Otherwise modifying the product
Electrical products should be inspected and, when reasonably possible, function-tested before irreversible modification or mounting onto the car.
If there is a visible defect, incorrect product, or apparent fitment issue, stop installation and contact Build Bargain before proceeding.
Installing, modifying, painting, wrapping, coating, drilling, trimming, or otherwise permanently altering a product generally confirms acceptance of its visible condition and apparent fitment at the time of installation.
This does not apply to a hidden defect that could not reasonably have been discovered before installation.
11. Vehicle Fitment
Many Build Bargain products are vehicle-specific.
Customers are responsible for selecting the correct product and using accurate vehicle information.
Fitment may depend on:
- Year
- Make
- Model
- Chassis
- Body style
- Trim
- Drivetrain
- Production date
- Factory options
- Regional vehicle configuration
- Existing modifications
- Previous accident repairs
- Aftermarket bodywork
- Factory part numbers
- VIN information
Customers should contact Build Bargain before purchasing if they are unsure about fitment.
Build Bargain may request additional vehicle information, photographs, VIN information, or factory part numbers before confirming compatibility.
12. Customer-Provided Vehicle Information
Fitment recommendations provided by Build Bargain are based on the information available at the time.
If a customer provides incorrect, incomplete, or misleading vehicle information, Build Bargain is not responsible for incompatibility caused by that information.
Examples include ordering for:
- The wrong model year
- The wrong chassis
- The wrong trim
- The wrong body style
- A different drivetrain
- A different factory option
- A vehicle with undisclosed modifications
- A vehicle with prior repairs or aftermarket components that affect fitment
Customers are responsible for reviewing product application and vehicle information before completing their order.
13. Fitment Confirmed by Build Bargain
If a customer provides complete and accurate vehicle information and Build Bargain expressly confirms that a product fits that vehicle, Build Bargain will review any verified fitment issue.
The customer must contact Build Bargain before permanently modifying or installing the product.
Build Bargain may request:
- Vehicle photographs
- Product photographs
- Installation photographs
- Measurements
- VIN information
- Factory part numbers
- Installer information
- Dry-fit photographs or videos
- Other information necessary to understand the issue
If Build Bargain confirms that the product was incorrectly represented as compatible despite the customer providing complete and accurate vehicle information, Build Bargain will provide an appropriate solution.
A verified Build Bargain fitment error will not be subject to the standard 10% restocking fee.
14. Modified or Previously Repaired Vehicles
Vehicle modifications may affect product fitment.
These may include:
- Aftermarket bumpers
- Aftermarket fenders
- Aftermarket hoods
- Aftermarket exhaust components
- Aftermarket suspension
- Widebody conversions
- Non-OEM brackets
- Previous body repairs
- Collision repairs
- Replacement panels
- Custom wiring
- Modified factory mounting points
- Other aftermarket components
Fitment confirmed for an otherwise factory-configured vehicle does not guarantee compatibility with every possible combination of aftermarket modifications.
Customers should disclose relevant vehicle modifications before requesting fitment confirmation.
Additional adjustment or fabrication required because of existing vehicle modifications is not considered a product defect.
15. Reasonable Aftermarket Fitment Adjustment
Aftermarket automotive products may occasionally require reasonable adjustment during installation.
Depending on the product, installation may involve:
- Repositioning
- Alignment
- Adjustment of mounting points
- Reuse or transfer of factory hardware
- Replacement hardware
- Minor trimming/shaving
- Adjustment of surrounding factory panels
- Normal installer setup
The need for reasonable installation adjustment does not by itself establish that a product is defective.
Build Bargain should be contacted before significant cutting, drilling, fabrication, or permanent modification is performed because of an apparent fitment issue.
16. Installation Labor and Third-Party Expenses
Unless expressly approved by Build Bargain in writing before the expense is incurred, Build Bargain does not reimburse third-party costs associated with installation, removal, diagnosis, repair, replacement, or vehicle downtime.
This includes:
- Installation labor
- Removal labor
- Reinstallation labor
- Diagnostic fees
- Mechanic fees
- Body shop charges
- Fabrication charges
- Coding or programming fees
- Alignment costs
- Paint
- Wrapping
- Paint protection film
- Ceramic coating
- Towing
- Storage
- Rental vehicles
- Transportation expenses
- Lost wages
- Vehicle downtime
- Loss of use
- Other third-party expenses
Customers and installers are responsible for inspecting and testing products before incurring irreversible installation, finishing, or modification expenses.
Build Bargain may voluntarily approve a specific third-party expense in writing in an individual situation, but such approval does not create an obligation to reimburse similar expenses in other claims.
17. Removal and Reinstallation Costs
If a warranty-covered product or component must be removed, repaired, replaced, or reinstalled, the customer is generally responsible for associated labor unless Build Bargain expressly agrees otherwise in writing.
Warranty coverage applies to the covered product or component and does not automatically include the cost of removing or reinstalling it.
Customers should contact Build Bargain before authorizing significant third-party repair or replacement expenses.
18. Unauthorized Repairs or Modifications
Customers should not independently repair, replace, open, disassemble, rewire, modify, or discard a product that is the subject of an active warranty claim without first receiving instructions from Build Bargain.
Unauthorized action may make it impossible to determine the original cause of the issue.
A warranty claim may be denied when an unauthorized repair or modification:
- Causes the failure
- Makes the issue worse
- Prevents reasonable inspection
- Destroys necessary evidence
- Makes the original cause of failure impossible to determine
This does not mean that every independent repair or third-party service automatically voids the warranty.
19. Replacement Components
Some Build Bargain products contain individually replaceable components.
When troubleshooting identifies a particular component as the cause of the issue, Build Bargain may provide only the affected replacement component.
Examples may include:
- Modules
- Drivers
- Controllers
- Wiring components
- Connectors
- Hardware
- Motors
- Electronic components
- Other replaceable parts
A complete assembly replacement is not required when replacing or repairing an individual component reasonably resolves the verified warranty issue.
Customers must reasonably cooperate with applicable replacement-component installation or troubleshooting procedures.
20. Replacement Warranty Period
A warranty replacement does not automatically restart the original 1-year warranty period.
Unless Build Bargain expressly states otherwise, an approved replacement product or component remains covered for the remainder of the original product’s applicable warranty period.
21. Product Discontinuation or Unavailability
Occasionally, an identical replacement product or component may no longer be available.
If an approved warranty replacement cannot be supplied because the product has been:
- Discontinued
- Revised
- Replaced by a newer version
- Temporarily unavailable
- Permanently unavailable
Build Bargain may provide another appropriate solution based on the circumstances.
This may include:
- A functionally comparable replacement
- A newer product version
- A replacement component
- Repair
- Store credit when agreed upon
- A partial or full refund when appropriate
22. Warranty Does Not Guarantee Specific Vehicle Results
Unless expressly guaranteed in writing, Build Bargain does not guarantee that an aftermarket product will produce a specific:
- Horsepower increase
- Torque increase
- Exhaust volume
- Exhaust tone
- Turbo sound
- Performance result
- Fuel economy change
- Appearance under every condition
- Other subjective or vehicle-dependent result
Results may vary because of:
- Vehicle configuration
- Tune
- Fuel
- Supporting modifications
- Factory software
- Installation
- Environment
- Other vehicle-specific factors
A difference in expected subjective sound, appearance, or performance does not by itself establish a manufacturing defect.
23. Warranty Claims and Payment Disputes
Customers should provide Build Bargain a reasonable opportunity to evaluate and resolve a warranty claim.
Build Bargain may retain and provide relevant documentation concerning a warranty claim when reasonably necessary in connection with a payment dispute, carrier claim, insurance claim, or other transaction-related investigation.
This may include:
- Order records
- Warranty terms
- Customer communications
- Photographs
- Videos
- Troubleshooting records
- Diagnostic information
- Replacement records
- Shipping records
- Installation information
24. No Duplicate Compensation
Customers may not knowingly receive compensation more than once for the same warranty-related loss.
For example, a customer may not knowingly retain both:
- A replacement product and a full refund
- A warranty refund and a payment-dispute credit
- A warranty replacement and insurance compensation for the same loss
- Store credit and a full payment reversal for the same product
Duplicate compensation is subject to the Duplicate Refunds and Compensation terms contained in the Returns, Exchanges, Cancellations & Custom Orders Policy.
25. Other Legal Rights
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from State to State.
26. Contact Information
Warranty, fitment, installation, and product-support questions should be sent to:
