Clearance & Final Sale Policy

Build Bargain may occasionally offer products at reduced prices through clearance sales, closeouts, discontinued inventory, open-box inventory, overstock, or other special clearance offerings.

Clearance pricing is provided in exchange for the additional terms described below.

Please review this policy before purchasing a clearance product.

By purchasing a product identified as Clearance, Final Sale, Open-Box, Blemished, or another clearly disclosed clearance condition, you acknowledge and agree to the applicable terms below.

1. Clearance Products

A product may be placed on clearance for reasons including:

  • Overstock
  • Discontinued inventory
  • Older product revisions
  • Packaging damage
  • Open-box condition
  • Display or demonstration use
  • Cosmetic imperfections
  • Returned inventory that has been inspected and approved for resale
  • Inventory liquidation
  • Product-line changes
  • Other inventory or business reasons

Not every clearance product is used, damaged, open-box, or blemished.

The specific condition of a clearance product will be disclosed on the applicable product listing when relevant.

2. Final Sale

Unless the applicable product listing expressly states otherwise, all products identified as Clearance or Final Sale are final sale.

Final-sale clearance products are not eligible for:

  • Standard returns
  • Exchanges
  • Store credit
  • Returns because the customer changed their mind
  • Returns because the customer no longer wants the product
  • Exchanges because another product is preferred
  • Returns or exchanges because the product was later offered at a lower price

The standard 30-day return and exchange eligibility offered on qualifying Build Bargain products does not apply to products identified as final-sale clearance items.

3. Clearance Pricing and Later Price Changes

Clearance prices may change as Build Bargain works to sell remaining inventory.

The price paid at the time the order is placed is the final agreed purchase price for that transaction.

A clearance product may later:

  • Be discounted further
  • Receive an additional markdown
  • Become part of another promotion
  • Be offered at a different price
  • Sell out completely

A later price reduction does not entitle an earlier purchaser to:

  • A retroactive discount
  • Partial refund
  • Store credit
  • Price adjustment
  • Return
  • Exchange
  • Cancellation after shipment

Customers may not return, exchange, cancel, reorder, or otherwise manipulate transactions solely to obtain a later clearance price or promotional price.

Build Bargain does not guarantee that a clearance product or price will remain available.

4. Limited Quantities

Clearance inventory is generally limited and may not be restocked.

A product being shown on the website does not guarantee continued availability.

Clearance products may sell out at any time.

If an inventory discrepancy occurs and Build Bargain discovers that a purchased clearance product is no longer available, Build Bargain will contact the customer and provide an appropriate update or refund for the unavailable product.

5. Product Condition

Clearance does not automatically mean that a product is used or defective.

Unless otherwise disclosed on the applicable listing, a clearance product may simply be discounted because of overstock, discontinuation, a product revision, or another inventory-related reason.

If a clearance product has a condition different from ordinary new inventory, Build Bargain may identify it as:

  • Open-Box
  • Blemished
  • Display
  • Demonstration
  • Previously Installed
  • Used
  • Refurbished
  • Reconditioned
  • Packaging Damaged
  • Another applicable condition

Customers are responsible for reviewing the product listing and any condition disclosures before completing the purchase.

6. Open-Box and Blemished Clearance Products

Products identified as Open-Box, Blemished, or another condition-specific clearance item may have cosmetic or packaging imperfections disclosed before purchase.

These may include, when disclosed:

  • Scratches
  • Marks
  • Minor finish imperfections
  • Packaging damage
  • Missing or replaced packaging
  • Signs of previous handling
  • Other specifically described cosmetic conditions A condition or imperfection clearly disclosed before purchase is not considered an undisclosed

defect solely because the customer later decides that they are dissatisfied with that disclosed condition.

Any condition not disclosed and reasonably believed to be a product defect may still be reviewed by Build Bargain under the applicable warranty or claims policy.

7. Inspection Before Installation

Customers and installers must inspect clearance products before installation or modification.

Do not permanently install, paint, wrap, coat, drill, cut, trim, wire, code, modify, or otherwise alter a product if you believe:

  • The wrong product was received
  • The product was damaged during shipping
  • There is an undisclosed defect
  • There is an apparent fitment problem
  • The condition materially differs from what was disclosed

Installation and fitment requirements remain subject to the Limited Warranty, Fitment & Installation Policy.

8. Damaged, Incorrect or Defective Clearance Products

Final sale does not mean Build Bargain may send a materially different product from what was ordered or disregard an eligible shipping-damage or warranty claim.

If a clearance product:

  • Arrives damaged during transportation
  • Is materially different from the product ordered
  • Is missing a component that was represented as included
  • Has a possible defect that was not noted on the product page and is covered by an applicable Build Bargain Limited Warranty

Do not install, modify, repair, or discard the product until Build Bargain provides instructions.

These issues will be reviewed under the applicable:

A disclosed cosmetic imperfection, disclosed open-box condition, or other condition communicated before purchase is not considered shipping damage or an undisclosed defect solely because of that disclosed condition.

9. Warranty Coverage

All clearance items are not eligible for coverage under any Build Bargain warranty. This includes lighting and exhaust products that would otherwise qualify for the Build Bargain 1-Year Limited Warranty when sold as non-clearance products.

If a customer experiences an issue or needs assistance with a clearance item, they may contact Build Bargain. Although warranty coverage does not apply, Build Bargain will review the circumstances and determine whether any assistance may be available on a case-by-case basis.

Any assistance provided is at Build Bargain’s discretion and does not create, reinstate, or extend warranty coverage.

10. Clearance Order Cancellations

Before shipment, a customer may request cancellation of a clearance order subject to the applicable terms of the Returns, Exchanges, Cancellations & Custom Orders Policy.

If the clearance order was paid through the Build Bargain website or through a Build Bargain electronic or system-generated invoice, any approved customer-requested cancellation made before shipment is subject to the standard 3% cancellation fee.

The 3% cancellation fee helps cover nonrefundable payment processing costs incurred when the original transaction is processed.

If the customer purchased and paid for Build Bargain Package Protection on the applicable order, the standard 3% cancellation fee will be waived for an otherwise eligible cancellation.

The Package Protection surcharge itself is nonrefundable, including when the customer cancels the order before shipment.

Package Protection waives the applicable cancellation fee only and does not override any other restriction that may make a clearance, custom, made-to-order, special-order, or other product noncancellable.

Once a clearance product has shipped, the order can no longer be canceled, and the product’s applicable final-sale terms will apply.

11. Package Protection

Adding Build Bargain Package Protection does not automatically make a final-sale clearance product eligible for a return or exchange.

Package Protection waives the applicable 3% cancellation fee and 10% restocking fee when those fees would otherwise apply to an eligible cancellation, return, or exchange.

It does not override the final-sale status of an otherwise nonreturnable clearance product.

The Package Protection surcharge itself remains nonrefundable according to the applicable Build Bargain policies.

12. Relationship to Other Build Bargain Policies

All clearance items are sold AS IS and WITH ALL FAULTS. The reduced clearance price reflects the product’s clearance status and the possibility of disclosed or undisclosed defects, cosmetic imperfections, fitment variations, missing components, prior handling, discontinued status, or other product-specific conditions.

Any issues known to Build Bargain at the time of listing will be noted in the product description or elsewhere on the applicable product page. In rare cases, a clearance item may have an issue that was not known or reasonably discoverable before the sale.

The customer assumes the entire risk regarding the product’s condition, quality, appearance, performance, and fitment. If the product requires adjustment, modification, servicing, repair, replacement, or additional installation work after purchase, the customer assumes all related costs.

Clearance items are not eligible for coverage under any Build Bargain warranty, including the Build Bargain 1-Year Limited Warranty otherwise offered for eligible lighting and exhaust products. No warranty coverage, return, exchange, refund, store credit, repair, replacement, reimbursement, labor compensation, fitment guarantee, or other product-related remedy will be provided for:

  • Defects or product failures
  • Cosmetic imperfections or finish variations
  • Fitment, alignment, spacing, or gap variations
  • Installation difficulties or additional installation requirements
  • Required trimming, drilling, adjustment, modification, or bodywork
  • Incompatibility caused by vehicle modifications, prior damage, aftermarket components, or incorrect product selection
  • A product not fitting, appearing, aligning, or performing exactly as the customer expected or preferred

Clearance purchases remain subject to other applicable Build Bargain policies only for matters not expressly modified or excluded by this Clearance Policy. No other Build Bargain policy creates or restores warranty, return, exchange, refund, fitment, repair, replacement, reimbursement, or other product-related coverage for a clearance item.

Where applicable:

If another Build Bargain policy conflicts with this Clearance Policy, this Clearance Policy will control with respect to the clearance purchase.

If a clearance product listing contains additional condition-specific disclosures or restrictions, those product-specific terms also apply. Such terms do not override the exclusions contained in this Clearance Policy or create warranty, return, exchange, refund, fitment, repair, or replacement coverage.

If a customer needs assistance with a clearance item, they may contact Build Bargain. Build Bargain may review the situation and determine whether any courtesy assistance can be offered. Any assistance is entirely discretionary and does not create a warranty, guarantee, obligation, or right to any particular remedy.
